How's your cardio holding up nowadays? Are you able to run a 10K, a 5K, or even a mile?

You've got some time to "train" for the Riverbank Run in Missoula on Saturday, April 25.

Frankly, you don't even have to train for these races. Just show up, run or walk, have a good time, and call it a day. You're not training for a marathon, you know?

The Riverbank Run signals the start of race season in western Montana, and organizers anticipate welcoming more than 2,500 runners, walkers, and spectators. - Press release from Justin Grigg & the YMCA Riverbank Run

If you're still thinking, "Eh, I don't want to move at all. Running is just not for me," then you can still help out by volunteering.

The YMCA is looking for volunteers to help with the 54th annual Riverbank Run.

Our volunteers are a crucial part of this race. We still need about 50 volunteers for the 2026 race. This is an awesome opportunity for people who aren’t racing but want to get involved and give back. - Race Director Keri McHugh

Volunteering is a great way to get involved without sweating, and it's all for a good cause. The Riverbank Run is a fundraiser for the YMCA's financial assistance program.

Famous Montanans A-Z

We put together an A-Z guide of Famous Montanans. People count if they were born here, raised here, live here, went to school here, or have a substantial connection to Montana. We couldn't find an 'x' entry and we had to cheat on 'z' by using a first name. If you have any other recommendations, please let us know.
