The Fray and Dashboard Confessional in Montana
If you grew up with emo playlists, burned CDs, and sad songs that somehow made everything better, this one’s for you.
The Fray will stop in Great Falls on July 19th as part of their Summer of Light Tour. And bringing Dashboard Confessional along to make it a night that’s basically a nostalgia pill for anyone who grew up during the emo heyday. Yes, that Dashboard Confessional. Yes, that era. Yes, those songs you cried along with while wearing eyeliner.
The show is taking place at Voyager Stadium, just off the Missouri River, which is about as Montana as it gets for a dramatic, midsummer nostalgia concert. Open air, summer night, July heat, and a two-band lineup that soundtracked an entire generation of late nights, long drives, and emotional songs.
Road Trip?
It’s an easy summer drive to Great Falls, and it has all the elements of a classic Montana concert mission. Windows down, endless daylight, strong playlist options, and a destination that ends with an outdoor stadium show instead of a high school gym.
This isn’t background music. This isn’t casual listening. This is a sing-every-word, hands-up, living-in-your-feelings kind of night. It’s yearning, late-2000s emo nostalgia in the best way, a little dramatic, a little tongue in cheek, and exactly the kind of thing people pretend they’re too cool for until about three seconds into the first chorus.
Ticket Info
Tickets are already on sale, and prices stay pretty normal for a two-band national tour stop. General admission starts around $39.50, with reserved seating climbing into the $70 to $80 range, depending on location in the stadium.
There are also VIP and fan packages available, offering early entry, premium seating, and tour swag for the hardcore fans. Whether you’re going budget, mid-range, or full nostalgia splurge, there’s a lane for it.
